Football United – UniSA

Health Science student Emma Milanese is using her passion for football to teach life skills to primary school students.

Emma had no idea an opportunity like this was possible until she was sent a list of placements for her Community Service Learning Project.

Her enthusiasm for the sport is clearly evident and her rapport with students is already shining through.

‘As soon as I saw Football United, I knew that was it. I have a soccer history.  I’ve always played soccer and always coached soccer. I love soccer!’ Emma says.

‘Initially I was scared because I didn’t know what to expect.  I was a bit worried. It’s not how to teach soccer, it’s how to teach life skills through soccer’.
