Raising the beds at UniSA’s Community Garden

Over six months ago the UniSA Community Garden Project at Mawson Lakes began with an exotic fruit orchard.

Now it includes raised garden beds.

Mediterranean herbs, lettuces, broad beans, strawberries and carrots are abundant.

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of Ms Andrea Duff’s Community Service Learning Project students, Dr James Ward, Dr Delene Weber, Dr Sharolyn Anderson, Facilities Management Unit and Grounds staff the Community Garden is maturing nicely.

Members of the Community Garden Project toil in the soil every Monday at 3pm.

If you would like to get involved in the project, or write for our blog Garden for eatingplease contact Program Director, Dr James Ward or Community Service Learning Project Coordinator, Ms Andrea Duff via the link here.

Thanks again to Ahmad Hakim for his images.
